It was a fun night at the UPAE fellowship last night and it seemed like a pre BE@80 in Feb reunion of sorts among Betans. One of the highlights was the signing of the deed of donation for 2 professorial chairs by brod Wally Liu 78, who is the Chairman and President of the Primary Group of Companies based in Cebu. Another highlight was the presentation of the UP Centennial Dormitory Project for Engineering Students where four organizations pledged support, led as usual, by our fraternity, followd by Epsilon Chi, Tau Alpha and the silver jubilarians.

The other highlight of the fellowship night is when Beta Epsilon, Tau Alpha, Epsilon Chi and the Silver Jubilarians pledged 500,000 pesos each for the Dormitory Project.

Dean Guevara mentioned the conclusion of a study which shows that students in block sections perform much better than those not in block sections. Thus, the dormitory exclusively for engineering students will increase the academic throughput of engineering students. Therefore, students must join a block, which means joining a block like Beta Epsilon.

Some of the 33 brods with Betanak Tonet Tanchuling who is Associate Dean of the college. Whenever a group photo was to be taken, brods would invariably invite Tonet to join. She internalized the unwritten SOP, so when she is just around, she would join us for the photo-ops before any brod could shout out..
